Hayao Miyazaki by C3mnt
Here’s an amazing illustration of Japanese animation genius, Hayao Miyazaki, created by Vietnamese artist, C3mnt. Check out the entire process at this Behance link, as well as closeups of aspects you might’ve missed in the actual picture. There’s one film from Miyazaki’s filmography in each part of the sketch.
can we just take a moment to appreciate how many awkward moments made it into the Potter films
Yes we can.
Ever meet someone for the first time and you guys just instantly click. Then sooner or later, you guys become the best of friends. Always messaging each other, fooling around, never wanting to waste a minute with them, always seeming so interested in one another. Like as if you are the highlight of their life and they were yours. You just feel happy, right?
But then, when they meet your other friends, who you think are better at everything than you, you can just feel the pang of hurt that everything is going to change between you and your best friend. They will slowly start to lose interest in you. Start hanging and talking more to your friends than they ever did with you. Sharing insiders that were meant to be only between you two. You want to tell them that you miss them and that you want them back but you don’t want to sound greedy and only wanting them for yourself. So you just stand there, watching that person you felt so special to just slowly disappear from your life. Not being able to do anything but just let them be.
Yeah. I really hate being close to people at times.
When someone starts to ship a couple because of you

Chino Otsuka : Imagine Finding Me
Chino Otsuka uses photography and video to explore the fluid relationship between the memory, time and photography. At age 10 she moved from Japan to the United Kingdom to attend school. Her experience of becoming familiar with a new place, a different language and new customs while she was developing her adolescent identity has profoundly shaped her work in photography, video and writing. Her series Imagine Finding Me consists of double self-portraits, with images of her present self beside her past self in various places she has visited. As Otsuka says: “The digital process becomes a tool, almost like a time machine, as I’m embarking on the journey to where I once belonged and at the same time becoming a tourist in my own history.” - via AGO
I am unexpectedly weepy looking at this.
gosh that’s… moving in a really gentle kind of “mother your inner child” way…
